Privacy Policy

Effective September 27, 2026

The short version: AisleFox keeps your grocery list on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, no ads, and no analytics. The app itself never connects to the internet, and we never receive your list or anything else about you.

Who we are

AisleFox is a mobile application made by Diothas Systems, LLC (“we,” “us”), of Johns Creek, Georgia, USA. This policy explains what happens to information when you use AisleFox on Android or iOS.

What AisleFox stores, and where

To work, AisleFox saves the following only on your device, in the app’s private storage:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else by AisleFox. We have no server that receives it, and no way to see it.

What we collect

Nothing. AisleFox has no account or registration, and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, device identifiers, or usage data. It contains no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting software. On Android, the app does not even request permission to use the internet.

Voice input and the microphone

You can add items by speaking. AisleFox asks for microphone permission only when you tap the microphone button, and listens only while you are adding an item.

To turn your speech into text, AisleFox uses the speech recognition service built into your phone — Google’s on most Android phones, Apple’s on iPhone. Depending on your device and settings, that service may send the audio to Google or Apple to be transcribed. That processing is done by them under their own privacy policies, not by us; AisleFox receives only the resulting text, which it adds to your list on your device. We never receive or keep recordings.

Voice input is optional. You can decline microphone permission, or turn it off later in your phone’s settings, and type your items instead — everything else works the same.

Backups

If you have turned on your phone’s own backup — Google backup on Android, or iCloud or computer backup on iPhone — your list may be included in it, stored in your account with Google or Apple. That is controlled by your device settings, and we cannot access it.

Keeping or deleting your data

Your list stays on your phone until you remove it. Removing an item hides it from your list; to erase everything AisleFox has stored, uninstall the app or clear its storage in your phone’s settings. Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete, export, or correct on our side — you are in full control of it.

Children

AisleFox is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your privacy rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and California’s CCPA give you rights over personal information a company holds about you. Since we do not collect or hold any, and do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing held by us for these rights to apply to. You can still contact us with any question.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of AisleFox adds features that handle information differently — for example, sharing a list with your family, which would need an account and an online service — we will update this policy before that version is released, change the effective date above, and explain the change in the app. Features like that will be optional.
