1. License
Diothas Systems, LLC (“we,” “us”) grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Tip Jar (“the App”) on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.
2. Informational Purpose Only
Tip Jar provides general tipping guidance based on a reference dataset of country and service-category norms. Tipping customs vary by city, venue, and individual circumstance, and may change over time. The App’s suggestions are estimates only, are not professional, financial, or legal advice, and are not a substitute for your own judgment. You are solely responsible for any amount you choose to tip.
3. No Warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF THE TIPPING DATA PROVIDED.
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DIOTHAS SYSTEMS, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
5. Location Services
If you grant permission, the App uses your device’s location solely to suggest your current country for tipping guidance. Location data is processed on your device and is not transmitted to or stored by us. You may decline location access and select your country manually at any time.
6. No Account; Stateless Design
The App does not require an account and does not store your bill amounts, tip calculations, or split details after you close it. Your acceptance of this Agreement and basic settings (such as home currency or text size) may be stored locally on your device so you don’t have to re-enter them each time.
7. In-App Purchase
The App offers an optional one-time purchase to remove advertising and enable offline country profiles. Purchases are processed by the applicable app store and are subject to that store’s terms and refund policies.
8. Advertising
The free version of the App displays banner advertising served by a third-party ad network (e.g., Google AdMob), which is subject to its own privacy and data practices.
9. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement, including in connection with an app update. If we make material changes, you will be asked to review and accept the updated Agreement before continuing to use the App.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license if you violate this Agreement.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
