Good product ideas do not arrive at the desk during the requirements meeting. They arrive in the car, in the shower, mid-conversation about something else. PrismPRD catches them one at a time and turns scattered thinking into a buildable spec. Its Prism Clarity engine refines each requirement into testable acceptance criteria, surfaced edge cases, and explicit dependencies, then publishes to Excel, a concept document, or a Claude Code build file. How it was built
PrismPRD came from the opposite of discipline. Great products start from a well-organized set of requirements, and my own product thinking is nothing of the sort: it arrives non-linear and out of order. I wanted a service that could take a stream-of-consciousness flow of ideas, use AI to organize the chaos, and produce the right document for the right audience, Claude Code included.
Idea to working beta took about fifteen hours.
The stack. Development ran in Claude Cowork, then Claude Code, on Opus 4.8, against a GitHub repository. Prism Clarity, the engine that turns a rough requirement into buildable criteria, is Claude Opus 4.8. The interface was shaped with Claude’s design guidance and its graphics generated in Gemini, and the requirements for PrismPRD itself were written in ReqDoc, the sibling tool in this same Workshop. It runs on Hostinger: a Node.js service, a Hostinger database, and Hostinger mail. Stripe handles payment processing, and Google AdSense supports the free tier.
What the build taught me. Moving from Cowork to Claude Code, on the Opus 4.8 model, was a clear step up, and wiring in GitHub made commit-and-deploy through Claude Code quick and routine.
